In a move welcomed by travelers in the Telugu states, the Railway Department has announced the reinstatement of the Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli Janmabhoomi Express. This comes after temporary cancellations of several trains due to modernization works in the Vijayawada Division.
The Janmabhoomi, Simhadri, and Ratnachal Express trains had been canceled from June 23 to August 11 due to the modernization efforts in the Nidadavolu-Kadiyam section. This decision led to significant dissatisfaction among passengers.
Responding to the widespread discontent, the Railway Department has revised its decision. The Janmabhoomi Express will resume normal operations from the 25th of this month. Furthermore, the South Central Railway has announced the reinstatement of the Vijayawada-Kakinada Port and Chengalpattu-Kakinada Port trains.
This decision aims to address passenger concerns and improve travel convenience in the region.
