
Hyderabad, May 5, 2025: In a significant development, 209 Assistant Engineers from the 2012 batch in Telangana’s Energy Department have been promoted to the ranks of Assistant Divisional Engineers/Assistant Executive Engineers, with postings issued accordingly. On this occasion, the Telangana Government Power Engineers’ Association (TGPEA) President, P. Ratnakar Rao, and Secretary, P. Sadanandam, met Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at Praja Bhavan to express their gratitude. They noted that this is the first time in the past 15 years that such a large number of promotions have been granted in a single instance.

The promotions were announced in alignment with the dedication of the 4000 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Station to the nation. Speaking on the occasion, Ratnakar Rao and sadhanandam highlighted that the state government’s proactive planning enabled the successful supply of a peak power demand of 17,162 MW during the Rabi season in March.

With the high power demand during the summer season in mind, under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and the leadership of GENCO CMD Sandeep Kumar Sultania, along with CMDs Krishna Bhaskar, Musharraf, and Varun Reddy, the engineers are committed to ensuring high-quality, uninterrupted power supply to all categories of consumers, they stated.
The event saw participation from TGPEA leaders and engineers, who welcomed the government’s decision with enthusiasm.
