Miss World 2025: 109 Global Beauties Embark on a Heritage Walk at Hyderabad’s Iconic Charminar

Hyderabad, May 13, 2025: In a vibrant celebration of culture and history, contestants from 109 countries participating in Miss World 2025 took part in a spectacular Heritage Walk at Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar on Tuesday. The event showcased the rich heritage of Hyderabad, captivating the global audience and cementing the city’s status as a cultural hub.

Arriving in four specially arranged buses, the contestants were warmly welcomed with traditional ‘Hadramee Marfa’ and ‘Naubat’ musical performances at the Charminar. A dedicated photoshoot at the historic monument, a UNESCO World Heritage contender built in 1591, captured the elegance of the global beauties against the backdrop of this architectural marvel. The contestants explored the historical significance of Charminar, immersing themselves in its timeless charm.

The group then proceeded to the nearby Laad Bazaar, a 400-year-old market renowned for its craftsmanship. At nine carefully selected shops—including Hyderabad Bangles, Mujib Bangles, Kanhaiyalal, Motilal Karwa, Gokul Das Zariwala, KR Kasat, Jaju Pearls, AH Zariwala, and Afzal Miya Karchobe Wale—the contestants shopped for traditional bangles, pearl necklaces, and other ornamental items. They also observed the intricate process of bangle-making, marveling at the skill and artistry of Hyderabad’s artisans.

Later in the evening, the contestants attended a grand gala dinner at the opulent Chowmahalla Palace. The event featured special arrangements for henna application and the opportunity to don traditional Nizami attire, offering a deep dive into Hyderabad’s regal legacy. An exhibition showcasing Nizam-era weaponry, household items, royal artifacts, and photographs highlighting Old City culture enthralled the participants. Additionally, short films promoting Telangana’s tourism attractions were screened, further enriching the experience.

The event, set to be broadcast live across 150 countries, brought global attention to Hyderabad’s cultural splendor. Extensive arrangements by various government departments, including Hyderabad Traffic Police and GHMC officials, ensured the seamless execution of the program. This Heritage Walk not only celebrated the beauty of the Miss World contestants but also positioned Telangana’s rich culture and history on the world stage.
