
TGRTC to Operate 2,243 Special Buses for Maha Shivaratri
Hyderabad, February 11, 2026:
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC) will operate 2,243 special buses to 43 Shaiva pilgrimage centres across the state on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri to facilitate smooth and hassle-free travel for devotees.

The special services will run from February 14 to 16. According to officials, 781 buses will be operated to Srisailam, 416 to Vemulawada, 249 to Edupayala, 326 to Keesaragutta, and 71 to Kaleshwaram. Additional services will also be arranged to major pilgrimage centres including Komuravelli, Alampur, Umamaheshwaram, Palakurthi, and Ramappa.

The Corporation stated that revised fares — up to 1.5 times the regular charges — will apply only to the special services. Regular bus services will continue to operate with normal fares. The free travel scheme for women will remain applicable on these services as per government guidelines.
