Hyderabad, April 11 – Telangana Minister and Working President of Bharata Rashtra Samithi (TRS), KTR, has accused that the Visakhapatnam steel industry is being privatized for Adani and that the Vizag Steel Plant has been pushed into losses. Speaking at a media conference held at Telangana Bhavan, KTR criticized Prime Minister Modi’s policy of dedicating losses to the nation and distributing profits to friends. He said that they will try to prevent Adani from looting Bailadila mines in Chhattisgarh.
KTR also mentioned that if Bailadila mines go into the hands of Adani, it will be a loss for Visakha steel and Telangana. Visakha Steel Plant is necessary to save Bailadila Steel Plant, and a team has been constituted to study the issue of participation in the bidding of Visakha Steel Plant. Based on the team’s report, a decision will be made on participating in the bidding.
KTR emphasized the need to protect public sector institutions, stating that if they are sold, employees and youth will lose their jobs. He cited examples of how Chief Minister KCR has supported public sector organizations, such as placing orders directly to BHEL in the power sector and introducing Rythu Bima in Telangana. KCR believes that the interests of the employees working in public sector institutions should be protected.
The minister also criticized the central government’s policy of giving profits to the private sector while dedicating losses to the nation. He said that CM KCR has been saying from the beginning that public sector organizations should be protected, and he has given a lot of support to public sector organizations.
KTR’s comments come amid reports of the central government’s plans to privatize several public sector companies. The TRS party has been opposing the privatization of public sector institutions, and KTR’s statements are seen as a part of the party’s efforts to protect them.
