Vijayawada, May 06: More than 72% of students have cleared the Class 10 examination in Andhra Pradesh, according to the results announced by Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday. The exams were held from April 3 to April 18, with an overall passing percentage of 72.26%, a 5% increase from last year’s figure. Girls outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 75.38% compared to 69.27% for boys. Of the 6,05,052 candidates who appeared in the exams, 933 schools recorded a 100% pass, while 38 schools recorded a zero pass percentage. Parvathipuram Manyam district had the highest pass percentage at 87.47%, while Nandyal district had the lowest pass percentage at 60.39%. Advanced supplementary exams will be held from June 2 to June 10 for those who failed to clear the exam. The exam schedule will be released soon, and the students appearing for the exam will have to apply before May 17. The government has also decided to conduct special classes for those who failed the exam.
