Congress National General secretary leader Priyanka Gandhi expressed her gratitude to the people of Karnataka for their overwhelming support, following the historic victory of the Congress party in the state’s recent elections. She emphasized that this triumph not only signifies the progress and development of Karnataka but also serves as a unifying force for the entire nation. Priyanka Gandhi praised the dedicated efforts of Congress workers, and leaders acknowledging that their hard work has yielded remarkable results.
In a heartfelt message on Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, “Heartfelt thanks to the people of Karnataka for bestowing a historic victory upon the Congress party. This triumph is a testament to the growth and prosperity of Karnataka. I extend my warm congratulations to the diligent Congress workers who tirelessly labored for this achievement. Your unwavering commitment and dedication have paid off. Jai Karnataka… Jai Congress.”
In a tweet, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the people of Karnataka for giving the Congress party a historic mandate. This victory is a testament to the prioritization of Karnataka’s progress and politics that unites the country.”
She reassured the people of Karnataka that the Congress party will diligently fulfill the promises made in their manifesto. She added, “The party will work with full dedication to implement the guarantees given to the people of Karnataka. Long live Karnataka, long live Congress.”
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, her brother and former Congress president, tweeted, “The power of the poor has defeated the power of the capitalist friends of the BJP.”
Out of the 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka, the Congress won 136 seats, securing a majority to form the government in the state. The BJP won in 64 constituencies.
