Hyderabad,May 18 :Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his heartfelt wishes for World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen to win a gold medal in the upcoming Olympics and bring glory to India, including Telangana. The CM assured full support from the state government to Nikhat Zareen, who has already achieved success on various global platforms, for her participation in the upcoming Olympic competitions. Nikhat Zareen had a courtesy meeting with CM KCR at the Secretariat on Thursday, where the CM clarified that the state government would cover the expenses of training, coaching, transportation, and more for her Olympic journey. CM KCR announced a fund of Rs. 2 crore to cover the related expenses, and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has ordered the necessary actions to be taken.
Sports Minister V. Srinivas Goud, along with Ministers Mahmood Ali, Prashant Reddy, Mallar Reddy, MLC Madhusudhanachari, and MLAs Guvvala Balaraju, Balka Suman, and Vithal Reddy, joined the occasion. CMO Secretary Bhupal Reddy, Sports Secretary Sandeep Sultania, and other officials were also present to show their support for Nikhat Zareen.
