Establishment of Deccan Journalist Housing Society
Membership Campaign to be Held on 12th of this Month
Hyderabad, June 10 — Deccan Journalist Housing Society, a newly formed housing society in the state, aims to cater to journalists who have been working in major newspapers and TV channels. Despite being an integral part of the media industry, many journalists still do not have access to housing societies specifically designed for their profession. To address this issue, the society’s president, Bolloju Ravi, along with vice president M. Srinivas, announced that a membership campaign will be conducted on the 12th of this month (Monday).

The membership campaign will be held at the Somajiguda Press Club, where interested individuals can submit their applications. Eligible for membership are state bureau reporters with current accreditation, staff reporters from Hyderabad city, staff photographers, and state and city desk journalists. As part of the application process, aspiring members must provide proof of at least three years of experience through their accreditation records. Additionally, three passport size photographs, Aadhaar card, accreditation cards, and working media organization ID cards should accompany the application.

It is worth noting that the membership fee has been set at Rs. 500. By establishing the Deccan Housing Society, the aim is to offer suitable housing opportunities to journalists who contribute to the field of media. The society envisions creating a supportive environment for journalists, providing them with a sense of security and stability in their professional and personal lives.

For further information regarding the membership campaign and application process, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the Somajiguda Press Club on the designated date. The Deccan journalist Housing Society looks forward to welcoming new members and working towards their housing needs.
