
Hyderabad, June 12: Thousands of people enthusiastically participated in the Telangana Run organized across the state on Monday as part of the Formation Day celebrations.
The event saw the active involvement of ministers, state legislators, public representatives, police officials, sports personalities, and film stars, creating a festive atmosphere.
In Hyderabad, the city police organized a 2k and a 5k run, starting from the B. R. Ambedkar statue and ending at Necklace Road.

The run was inaugurated by Home Minister Mohammed Mehmood Ali, Minister for Youth Affairs and Culture Srinivas Goud, MLA Danam Nagender, Greater Hyderabad Mayor Vijaya Laxmi, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Director General of Police Anjani Kumar, and other dignitaries.
People from various walks of life, particularly the youth, showed great enthusiasm and turned up in large numbers to participate in the event.
Renowned singers Mangli and Ram, shooter Esha Singh, and actress Sreeleela entertained the participants with their performances, adding to the excitement and enthusiasm of the over 4,000 participants.
The Telangana Run provided a platform for people to come together, celebrate, and strengthen the spirit of unity and the progress achieved in the past decade.

Speaking at the event, Mehmood Ali highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana has emerged as a frontrunner in terms of development. He emphasized that the state was making rapid strides in both development and welfare.
Srinivas Goud mentioned that Telangana had no competition in the information technology and industrial sectors. He urged the youth to actively participate in the implementation of development and welfare schemes.
The minister asserted that Telangana, with its reforms and various development initiatives, has become a role model for the entire country.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari expressed her delight at the tremendous response from the public towards the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
DGP Anjani Kumar proudly stated that Telangana is the safest and healthiest state in the country. He highlighted that the rapid development across various sectors has not only earned recognition within the nation but also worldwide.
He described the Telangana Run, which took place against the backdrop of the 125-feet statue of Dr. Ambedkar and the newly constructed state Secretariat, as an extraordinary event.
The Telangana Run, marked by the presence of dignitaries and the enthusiastic participation of the public, showcased the state’s progress and unity, solidifying its position as a symbol of development in the country.
