PM Modi: Chandrayaan Mission Symbolizes New India’s Spirit and Women Power

New Delhi, Aug 27 – In his monthly broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the Chandrayaan mission as a symbol of India’s determination and women’s power.

“Mission Chandrayaan has become a symbol of the spirit of New India which wants to ensure victory, and also knows how to win in any situation,” said the Prime Minister during the 104th episode of his monthly program.

He highlighted that Indian daughters are now venturing into space, which was once considered infinite. He expressed the belief that a country where its daughters aspire to reach the stars is destined for development.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission exemplifies women’s empowerment, with many female scientists and engineers directly involved in the project, holding crucial roles such as Project Director and Project Manager.

Modi underscored that India’s dreams and efforts have soared high, with significant contributions from various sectors leading to the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

He noted that the soft and safe landing of India’s moon lander near the South Pole of the moon marked a significant achievement, making India the fourth nation in the world to accomplish this feat.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission covered a distance of about 3.84 lakh km over 40 days before its successful landing on the lunar surface.
