Cyberabad Police Issue Advisory Notice to ‘Baby’ Movie Director Sai Rajesh and Producer SKN

Hyderabad, September 14:

Rumors recently swirled across social media platforms, alleging that the director of the latest cult blockbuster “Baby,” Sai Rajesh, and producer SKN, had been served notices by the Cyberabad Police. These notices were said to be in response to the portrayal of drug usage in the film “Baby.”

In response to these baseless rumors, Producer SKN clarified the situation, stating that the notice was merely an “advisory” to filmmakers, urging them not to depict drug usage in their films. He emphasized that this advisory did not carry any legal implications since the movie had already received clearance from the Government Central Board, and a statutory warning was prominently displayed during relevant scenes. SKN characterized it as a friendly advice from the narcotics department to filmmakers.

Amidst the circulating buzz, a video featuring CP CV Anand discussing the movie’s drug-related scenes with director Sai Rajesh at an event gained significant attention. However, Sai Rajesh took the initiative to address the issue directly in a video message.

In the video, Director Sai Rajesh clarified that the police had sought an explanation regarding the inclusion of drug scenes in the movie “Baby.” He recounted his meeting with CP CV Anand, alongside film producer SKN.

Sai Rajesh explained that the drug scene was an integral part of the movie’s storyline, and its inclusion was necessary to convey a specific narrative. He stressed that the advisory notice pertained to the statutory warning displayed in the film’s trailer on YouTube. With his clear explanation video, the director effectively dispelled all rumors surrounding the issue.

Furthermore, Sai Rajesh shared CP CV Anand’s advice, urging filmmakers not to glorify any form of drugs, as it could have a detrimental impact on society.

This clarification puts to rest the unfounded speculations, reaffirming that the notice from Cyberabad Police was merely an advisory aimed at promoting responsible storytelling in the world of cinema.
