Telangana Agriculture Minister, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Unveils Statue of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji at Horticulture College

Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, the Minister for Agriculture in the Government of Telangana, paid tribute to the revered Konda Laxman Bapuji by unveiling his statue at the College of Horticulture in Mojerla, Wanaparthy district, on October 6, 2023.

During the ceremony, Minister Niranjan Reddy spoke highly of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to his beliefs. He highlighted Bapuji’s significant contributions to India’s independence struggle and his involvement in movements against the Nizam’s rule in Hyderabad.

Minister Niranjan Reddy underscored the importance of honoring notable figures by naming educational institutions after them, citing examples like Acharya Jayashankar Agricultural University and PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University. He stated that erecting statues in their honor serves as a meaningful way to preserve their legacy and inspire future generations.
In his speech, Minister Niranjan Reddy praised individuals who lead the way and become pioneers in their respective fields, noting that not everyone can achieve such greatness. He fondly remembered the sacrifice made by Konda Laxman Bapuji, who resigned from his ministerial position in support of Telangana statehood.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including VC Neeraja Prabhakar, College Associate Dean Dr. Saidaiah, professors, and other dignitaries.
