Dubakka MLA Raghunadhan Rao demanded that the government provide Safety and security assurance to electrical workers who are constantly risking their lives. He made this demand while attending the State Conference of Electrical Workers held in Hyderabad on Monday as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, Raghunadhan Rao said that thousands of private electrical workers across the state are dying in electrical accidents, and their families are living on the streets due to a lack of proper insurance. He promised to bring their problems to the attention of the government and do his best to solve them. Badangpet Mayor Chigiritha Parijatham Narsimha Reddy, Electrical Licensing Board ExMember Nakka Yadagiri, Rangareddy District President Samala Srikanth Reddy, State President B.Venkanna Goud, State Chief Secretary Veera Mallesh Yadav, and Nemala Banerjee were present at the event, and others also participated.

The following are the demands of the electricians:

Allocate 1000 yards of land for the construction of a private electrical office buildingGrant funds for the construction.
Provide PF and ESI facilities for electrical workers.
Provide 15 lakhs for the families of accident victims and 8 lakhs for normal deaths.
Provide a monthly pension allowance of 5000 for electricians even after 50 years.
Provide double bed for qualified workers
Set up a welfare board with houses
Establish a special fund of Rs.100 crores
