In her nomination affidavit, several noteworthy details have come to light, shedding light on the complex dynamics within the Reddy family.
Among the most striking revelations is the disclosure that Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has provided a loan of over Rs. 82 crores to Sharmila. This financial transaction underscores the political rift between the siblings as Sharmila enters the electoral fray against her brother.
Additionally, the affidavit indicates that Sharmila, a newcomer to electoral politics, has declared assets totaling Rs. 182.82 crores, with previously undisclosed assets now being made public for the first time. The couple’s financial profile includes significant holdings of gold and diamond ornaments, with Sharmila possessing gold worth Rs. 3.69 crores and diamond ornaments valued at Rs. 4.61 crores.
In contrast, Sharmila’s husband, Anil Kumar, possesses relatively modest immovable assets worth Rs. 4.05 crores and debts totaling Rs. 35.81 crores. Notably, Bharti Reddy’s assets consist primarily of debts owed, amounting to Rs. 82.77 crores, highlighting the intricate financial arrangements within the family.
